    Mandatory RRP Rule Certification Training

    The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule that addresses lead based paint hazards created by renovation, repair, and painting activities. The rule requires that renovation contractors, maintenance workers, painters*, and other specialty tradesmen who disturb painted surfaces during their work to become RRP certified. This law went into effect on April 22, 2010. Renovators are now required to apply for certification from the EPA.
