The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule that
addresses lead based paint hazards created by renovation, repair, and
painting activities. The rule requires that renovation contractors, maintenance
workers, painters*, and other specialty tradesmen who disturb painted
surfaces during their work to become RRP certified.
This law went into effect on April 22, 2010.
Renovators are now required
to apply for certification from the EPA.

This 8 hour course is based upon the California
Apartment Association (CAA) Managing Rental
Housing Manual.
The course will assist owners and operators of
residential rental housing in the State of
California in keeping up with the changes in
laws, regulations and policies enforced at local,
state and federal levels of government.
8 Hour course divided into the four major
categories of rental housing operations:
“Creating the Tenancy”,
“During the Tenancy”,
“Terminating the Tenancy”,

Apartment Leasing & Management 101

management training to newly-hired leasing and
management employees for apartment communities,
as well as for new property managers and
administrative employees who are just beginning
their participation in our industry.
This class will focus on marketing, leasing,
screening, fair housing and resident retention, and
explores the many opportunities available in
residential rental
management. |
